Or-Tec has successfully started up another Micro Bar Screen in Georgia. The screen designed for 8.4 MGD has 2 mm bar openings, has been successfully installed and commissioned, and is now protecting the entire WWTP.

The Micro Bar captures hair, rags, wipes, and plastics that pass through screens with larger openings. This high removal efficiency prevents pumps from blocking and debris from settling in basins keeping downstream equipment protected. And all this without the need of washwater or brushes.

Supporting the system is our stainless steel Compacting Screw Auger, providing low?maintenance conveyance, washing and compacting of screenings. The result:

• Reduced hauling effort
• Lower operator workload
• A smoother, more resilient headworks process
