We are looking for a skilled SolidWorks Design Engineer to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
- SolidWorks Expertise: Utilize SolidWorks to design and develop industrial manufacturing solutions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all models.
- Manufacturing Drawings: Create detailed manufacturing drawings for shop and vendor use based on new and existing models.
- Submittal/Layouts for Sales: Develop submittal and layout drawings for use by the sales team and customers.
- Sheet Metal Design: Design custom equipment and parts, utilizing sheet metal and structural shapes such as tube and angle, and welding processes.
- Product Line Standardization: Assist in standardizing product lines to enhance efficiency and consistency in production.
- DWG to SolidWorks Conversion: Convert DWG files to SolidWorks format while ensuring all specifications are met.
- File Organization & Clean-Up: Reorganize and clean up previous job files and models for improved workflow and future use.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in SolidWorks with a strong understanding of 3D modeling and CAD design.
- Knowledge of or a strong desire to learn about sheet metal processes, including cutting, forming, and welding.
- Experience creating manufacturing drawings and submittals for customer and vendor use.
- Familiarity with structural shapes (tube, angle) and the design of custom equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with standardizing product lines or systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience converting DWG files to SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with best practices for organizing and cleaning up design files.

Time Off
